About your facilitator
Associate Director, Career Services, JHU PDCO
Kate joined the PDCO in November 2017. As the Associate Director for Career Services, Kate develops and presents professional development workshops and career clinics, runs the annual Three Minute Thesis Competition, oversees PDCO experiential education, and serves on cross-university committees to strengthen doctoral career services across all JHU schools. Kate received her PhD in 2015 from the JHU KSAS Department of Biology and did a postdoctoral fellowship in infectious disease for 2 years at the FDA. Prior to JHU, Kate received her BS from University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill and worked at NIH as a post-baccalaureate research fellow after graduation. Over the past decade, Kate has participated in numerous academic and community leadership organizations, including the JHU GRO, the FDA Fellows Association, and the Junior League of Baltimore.
